TIGERS POSTING STEADY AND CONSISTENT RESULTS!!

After coming off another win at the NorCal preview at Madera Country Club last week, the Tigers post a school record for the program at their home course, Ridge Creek GC, with a team score of 291.  Jaci Johnson earned her first collegiate medalist win with a score of 71 (1-under par).  Other scores included a 1-over par 73 by Tessa Hernandez and Sarah Randolph. Kailin Paredes came in with a score of 74 and Kailey Cuevas and Marissa Martin rounded out the group with a 78 and 82 respectively.  The team is now 9-0 on the season. 

NorCal Preview Recap

-  Under warm weather conditions, with temperatures reaching over 85 degrees, the Tigers shot a team score of 328 at Madera Golf & Country Club in Madera at the Northern California Preview Tournament.  The golf course played very tough, with rolling hillside lies and out of bounds on many holes, which made scoring very difficult for the players on the afternoon.  The Tigers WON the tournament, defeating every competitive program from Northern California.  Leading the way for the Tigers was Tessa Hernandez, who took Top 5 Honors with a solid round of 80, making 10 Pars and playing the Par 5's in +1. Marissa Martin came in with a gutsy round of 81. Sarah Randolph's 83 was another consistent effort for the Tigers on the day. Jacie Johnson and Kailey Cuevas both tied with 84's to contribute the final counting score on the day for the Tigers.  The Tigers should be very proud of their efforts on the day, and it was a great trip to Madera to see the top teams in Northern California for the Reedley College Women's Golf Team!  The focus shifts now back to Big 8 Conference Tournament #5 at Buena Vista Golf Course in Taft for a mini tournament on Wednesday. Tee times are scheduled to begin at 12:00 noon, and Taft College will be the host school for the event.

NEXT UP FOR THE TIGERS

The Tigers go on the road to Taft College for the Big 8 Conference torunament #7 at Buena Vista GC.  They then travel to Solvang on Oct 12 & 13th for the State Preview tournament which will be held at the River Course at Alisal--site of the 3C2A 2025 State Championship.   This trip will be a good test for the TIgers before completing conference play and will give them great preparation for the post season. The NorCal Regionals will be hosted by Reedley College at Madera Country Club on Nov 9th & 10th.
