- Born on November 1, 2004…parents are Brandy and Dale Mell…played baseball in high school for Payton Allen at Mt. Whitney H.S. in Visalia…was the M.V.P. of the East Yosemite League…won the Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Awards in high school, as well as being named an All-American…college major is Business Management…a very good student who graduated with a 3.00 GPA out of high school…was on the Honor Roll all throughout his high school academic career…favorite golf course ever played is Monarch Dunes Golf Course in Nipomo on the Central Coast…best score ever posted is a 69 (-3) at Valley Oaks Golf Course in Visalia…2nd year playing competitive golf…came to Reedley to improve his game while working on his AA Degree, and to prepare for an opportunity to play competitive college golf at the community college level…Golf Goals at Reedley College: To better his golf game, make the travel team, help the Tigers to win many championships, and transfer to a 4-year school.

- Coach Stark’s Comments on Zach: Zach is a young player to the sport of golf, but has very nice physical attributes to produce power with his golf swing. Zach has nice length off of the tee, being sneaky long for his size, and uses it to his advantage. Zach has worked hard on his overall course management, making better decisions to save strokes, and post more consistent scores. Zach has competed on a high level in the South Valley, but in another sport (baseball), but his competitive spirit should help him to transition to become a solid golfer. Zach should develop into a nice contributor to the Tigers overall success in 2026.
