Tigers MBB Defend Home Court: Reedley Tops Fresno City 86–66 in CVC Showdown

Reedley Men's Basketball Makes a Strong Statement for Hopes of Playoff Berth.

Reedley's offensive efficiency proved to be the difference, as the Tigers shot a blistering 55% from the field (33-of-60).

In a spirited 3C2A Central Valley Conference rivalry matchup on February 17, 2026, Reedley College protected its home floor with an emphatic 86–66 victory over Fresno City College, using a balanced offensive attack and dominant rebounding effort to secure the 20-point win.

Reedley led from the opening tip, taking a 47–30 advantage into halftime and never allowing Fresno City to mount a serious second-half comeback. The Tigers outscored the Rams in both halves (47–30, 39–36) to seal the decisive result.


Chambers and Marshall Power the Offense

 

Kevin Chambers delivered a standout performance, pouring in 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting while adding nine rebounds and four assists. Chambers controlled the paint and consistently converted high-percentage looks.

Off the bench, Devon Marshall ignited the crowd with a game-high 29 points. Marshall was lethal from beyond the arc, knocking down 5-of-8 three-pointers and finishing 10-of-13 overall. He added eight rebounds and six assists in a complete all-around performance that swung momentum firmly in Reedley's favor.

Together, Chambers and Marshall combined for 54 of Reedley's 86 points.


Dominance on the Glass

Reedley's physicality was evident in the rebounding column. The Tigers controlled the boards 45–? (Fresno totals unavailable), including 14 offensive rebounds that led to multiple second-chance opportunities.

Tad Tibbett contributed six rebounds off the bench, while Isaiah Carter added seven boards and interior toughness. Macario Solorio chipped in five rebounds and seven points, helping Reedley establish early inside presence.


Balanced Backcourt Contributions

Lucean Milligan and Luke Machnik combined for eight assists, helping Reedley tally 20 team assists on 33 made field goals — a testament to the Tigers' ball movement.

Reedley also protected the ball well, committing just 12 turnovers while maintaining steady offensive rhythm throughout the night.

Reedley's coaching staff emphasized defensive intensity and ball movement as keys to the victory. The Tigers' ability to contest shots, clean the glass, and convert in transition set the tone early and allowed them to maintain a comfortable lead.

With the win, Reedley strengthens its position in conference play while earning bragging rights in the ongoing Central Valley rivalry. Fresno City will look to regroup as postseason positioning tightens.
