Tigers Make History: Reedley College Volleyball Climbs into State Rankings After Strong CVC Cross-Over Play

The Reedley College Tigers continued their impressive 2025 campaign by finishing 3-1 in their Central Valley Conference (CVC) cross-over matches against the CVC South. The Tigers' only loss came at the hands of state-ranked #5 Taft College, where they battled through a gritty three-set match, taking the Cougars to extra points in two of the sets.

This stretch of high-level competition proved the Tigers' resilience and growth, as they earned their way into the California state rankings for the first time in over 20 years—showcasing the rise of a revitalized program led by Coach Jennifer Uresti and demonstrating the Tigers' climb back to prominence through hard work and a renewed team culture.

With momentum on their side, the Tigers now turn their attention back to CVC North play as they prepare to host Columbia College on Wednesday, November 5. The matchup marks not only the start of the second round of conference play but also the final home match of the season and Sophomore Celebration Night, where the program will honor its sophomores — Emily Enriquez, Scarlett Hulse, and Hope Sierra — for their dedication, leadership, and lasting impact on the Tiger Volleyball family.

Coach Uresti reflected on the group's influence, saying,

"This sophomore class set the foundation for what Reedley Volleyball is becoming. They've led with heart, resilience, and commitment — the kind of teammates who make everyone around them better. Their legacy will live on in the culture they helped build."

Fans are encouraged to pack the gym and support the Tigers as they continue to push toward their goal of a postseason berth — something not seen at Reedley College in more than two decades.
